Big 12 Postseason Awards Announced

The Big 12 released their postseason awards voted on by the league’s head coaches. This conference was the only power five to have four different teams selected for the awards.

Madisen Skinner won player of the year from Texas. This is the fourth year in a row a player from Texas has won. The Longhorns earned the No. 7 overall seed in the tournament.

Camryn Turner from Kansas won setter of the year. She led the league in assists and helped her team earn a four-seed in the tournament.

Katie Georgiades from Houston won libero of the year in the conference. She had previously won libero of the year twice in the American Athletic conference.

Nayeli Gonzalez from Iowa State won freshman of the year. She won rookie of the week four times during the regular season and helped her team make the NCAA Tournament.

Ray Bechard from Kansas won coach of the year after pushing his team to second place in the conference. He has won coach of the year four previous times.
