The 2023 NCAA volleyball tournament bracket was revealed on Nov. 26. Right away, the bracket presents interesting matchups and potential storylines for viewers to look forward too.
The seeds given out from the NCAA committee could lead to in-conference rivalry games, something not usually seen in postseason play.
Pittsburgh and Louisville snuck into the same quadrant and could play in the Elite Eight. These teams split their two meetings this year and have been ACC rivals for the past five years.
Arkansas and Kentucky could meet in the Sweet 16 if both survive the first two rounds. These teams finished first and second in the SEC standings.
Stanford and Arizona State is another potential Sweet 16 matchup. These teams met twice in the regular season, both winning at home. Although Stanford got the one-seed and Arizona State a five-seed, this matchup will be competitive as Pac-12 foes face off.
The Sweet 16 will boast another in-conference matchup if both teams can make it there. Penn State and Wisconsin could play each other in this round. The teams split the series this year and could be another one-seed versus five-seed contest.
